Frequently Asked Questions (Scroll Down to Register and for List of State Approvals)
- What does the enrollment confirmation email look like?
The enrollment confirmation email is the automatically generated email sent to you when you registered for the webinar. It gave you the webinar link and your passcode.
That email is from Zoom and the subject is “
2025 Pesticide Recertification Class 1 Confirmation” for the March 4 event – March 5 event has “Class 2” instead of “Class 1”
- What if I never received an email confirmation?
Check your spam folder and also check to see if your company’s email system is blocking the email sent to you from zoom. Bottom line, you must get to that email sent to you when you registered for the class.
- Can two or more persons use the same device to attend the webinar?
No. Each person must attend from their own device. Sharing does not allow the system to track individual attendance.
- Do I need the passcode provided when I registered to sign into the webinar?
Yes. The passcode is unique to you and is the one sent when you registered for the webinar. If you use the unique link that was sent you should not have to use the passcode. However, please have it ready in the event needs you to enter the passcode.
- Do I need to present the email I gave when I registered to sign into the webinar?
No. Nothing is needed to sign in, except the passcode.
- Is the zoom link for the webinar the same for each attendee?
Yes. Your passcode entitles you to a “seat” at the webinar.
- What happens if I login after 7:45 am?
Unfortunately, you will not get pesticide recertification credit for attending the webinar. This restriction is necessary to satisfy the various state requirements for attendance.
- What happens if I lose my internet connection during the webinar?
Log in again as quickly as you can, even if you have to use another device. The loss of a few minutes will likely (no certainty here) not prevent states for granting credit but long lapses certainly will.
- What must I provide besides the information I gave when I registered?
New Jersey: On the day of the webinar, email your date of birth to virginiaturf@gmail.com
New York: At the beginning of the webinar, email a photo of your NY Pesticide Certification ID to virginiaturf@gmail.com In some cases, you will forward will be a NYSDEC Non Pest ID.
South Carolina: You must use the QR code we provide at the end of the webinar.
(Other – still checking)
- What happens after the event?
Everyone who attended the event will receive an email confirming their attendance BUT that email does not imply the person met state requirements for recertification. Reasons for not getting credit from the states include signing in after 7:45 am, broken internet connection, and failure to provide additional documentation during the event for those states requiring it.
For persons who meet state requirements for attendance, we will submit documentation within 30 days (some states require 10 days, others 15 days).
- How will my attendance be monitored?
Quizzes will be conducted randomly during the event. Persons must complete each quiz within the time allotted.
