Today several of us met at the site of our upcoming service project at the Lakemont section of Petersburg. Representation at today’s meeting included Virginia State University, Lakemont Neighborhood Community Project, James River Association, Virginia Cooperative Extension, Fairfax County, and Harris Wheeler (retired Horticulture educator who is dedicating his years to working with inner city youth).
A grant from Keep Virginia Green is the seed money for this important endeavor!
