Virginia Turfgrass Council’s (VTC) Environmental Institute will distribute free packages of “Feed the Pollinator” seeds [at Celebrate Earth Day]. The specialty seed blend of Virginia native perennials provide season-long pollen and nectar sources to our pollinators. The Environmental Institute recognizes that bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds play an important role in sustaining healthy ecosystems and pollinating many of our fruits, nuts and vegetables. By providing the seed packages to the public for free, VTC hopes to enhance pollinator populations.
