Registration for the Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional (CBLP) level 1 winter classes are now open- and there is a registration coupon that is good until November 16th

CBLP is a regional certification that focuses on conservation landscaping with native plant species and sustainable solutions for storm water management, and covers design, installation, and maintenance topics. Our target audience includes horticulturists, landscape architects, landscape designers, arborists, landscape contractors, planners, storm water engineers, local government staff, watershed groups, and other related practitioners.

You can see our winter training announcement here, and the class flyer here.

Due to the current pandemic we have converted our training into a highly interactive 3 day course which combines online learning with a field day. Besides the safety benefits this new format has helped:

· reduce travel expenses for attendees
· allowed us to include more of our expert instructors in each session
· helped individuals network bay wide
· spur the creation of new pre-recorded resources for participants

Participants will choose one of three online sessions – each runs from 9 AM – 12 PM.
Session 1: December 1 & 8
Session 2: January 19 & 26
Session 3: February 10 & 17

Online sessions are followed by full-day field practicums. You will choose one field day. Each runs from approximately 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM, and will be held in the following locations:

January 27 – Arlington, VA
February 18 – Lancaster, PA
February 23 – Annapolis, MD
February 26 – Norfolk, VA
March 2 – Columbia, MD
March 9 – Fredericksburg, VA

In addition, if participants register by November 16, they can use the coupon BMPDAVE to take $50 off the regular registration fee of $445. Additionally, if you work in the Hampton Roads there are additional discounts available through RISE funding. More information can be found at : https://cblpro.org/get-certified/ or by emailing me. Thank you for your help spreading the word!
