Certification
This page offers information about two VTC programs: Certified Turfgrass Professional(C.T.P.) and Green Industry Team Leadership (G.I.T.L). We also provide information on the Certified Fertilizer Applicator program with is administered by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

Short Course
The Turfgrass Short Course condenses instructional highlights of a semester into four intense days.

Regionals
We offer pesticide recertification classes in various locations across the Commonwealth. Two of the regionals have grown into "Come to the Bay" and "Come to the Valley." FREE for members.

Come to the Bay
Offered in Virginia Beach at the end of February, this event is growing into a major conference. We partner with environmental groups, arborists, and other associations to serve the green industry. Pesticide and fertilizer recertification training are FREE for members.

Come to the Valley
The Staunton Pesticide Recertification is growing into a conference for the entire green industry. Pesticide and fertilizer recertification training are FREE for members.

Va Tech Field Day - Va Beach
Held at the end of June, this event offers both a tour of latest research and pesticide recertification. FREE for members.

Va Tech Lawn and Landscape Field Day - Blacksburg
Come to the Blacksburg in August to learn about turfgrass and landscapes. FREE for members.

M-A-T-E
Virginia Tech and the VTC have partnered with the University of Maryland and the Maryland Turfgrass Council to produce a multi-state turfgrass event. All profits go to turfgrass research.

Virginia Tech Research Golf Tournament
We partner with Virginia Tech and the VGCSA to produce this research fund raiser.
